HS codes are only the same worldwide up to six digits
Every country uses the same first six digits. After that, each one adds its own — so the code on your supplier's invoice will usually not match the Indonesian code exactly. That is normal and expected.
Indonesia uses eight digits. The United States uses ten, the EU uses eight with different endings, China uses ten. Paste whichever you have — we match on the first six and show you every Indonesian line underneath.
What to type
An HS code in any format — 9022.14, 90221400, 9022.14.00.00
all work. Or a product name in Indonesian or English: kateter, X-ray,
sarung tangan.
If you only know the first four digits, enter those — you will get a wider list to narrow down.
Reading the result
Lartas border means the licence is checked at customs and the shipment will not be released without it. Post border means the check happens after the goods are released, in the market.
Partial coverage means the requirement applies only to some goods under that code, described in the box beneath it. Products under the same code that fall outside that description are not caught. Roughly four in ten lines work this way, and it is the most common source of confusion.
Why your result may differ
Classification depends on what the product actually is and what it claims to do, not only on what it is made of. Two similar products can sit under different codes, and customs can take a different view from your supplier. Treat what you see here as a starting point for a conversation, not a conclusion.
